Zuka Advent 2020 Day 2: Kizuki Yuuma
It's time for day 2 and now that I know how to use this website better I can properly credit loststories for the template!
Day 2: Kizuki Yuuma
It's actually kinda stupid how much I love Mayupon. I discovered her through my love for Aasa since they're such good friends and somehow she became my favourite Zuka uncle. She gets such cool roles now and I really hope this becomes A Thing and she sticks around for a very long time! Like legit, should Mayupon continue to be on Senka/Uncle track, i'm 100% gonna join her fanclub after Aasa leaves thats how much I love this tol bean.
What is your favourite role and why? I noticed her for the first time in A-EN (this is kind of a trend at least for a few of these folks this month it's dumb how much I love that little universe) and Miles has a special place in my heart, but she REALLY gets to shine as Meliagrant in The Legend of King Arthur. I knew she could sing. I didn't expect her to murder me with SURPRISE SOPRANO. Special shoutouts also have to go out to being Sisi's Hot Dad in Elisabeth (2018) andcucked husband M. de Rênal in The Red and the Black (her song may have been TINY but holy SHIT does she put so much character into it). I also gotta obligatory mention Lina in Singing in the Rain (2018) as it's my favourite Zuka production of a western show (and arguably her biggest role), but i'm sorry Mayupon I don't watch it for you I watch it for the MiyaTama bromance. 😔
What is your favourite thing about them? I mean, besides her bromance with Aasa (RIP), I absolutely love the heart she puts into EVERY role she gets (even as a Ken-2 background playing card in Alice's Lover!) and the obvious love she has for performing. Also, as a Canadian, I am obligated to stan the fact that she's a maple syrup fiend and I can't WAIT to be able to send her some of the good stuff.
What would you like to see them do?Another bromance with Aasa sometime In all honesty, i'm still very Zuka Babie so I don't have a lot of knowledge on the things Zuka restages a lot, but I would like to manifest her getting SOME sort of role one day (should she become part of the Senka Uncles) that she gets to reprise a lot, like how Ema Naoki is always Father Lawrence in RetJ. If she's gonna continue getting Big Dad/Uncle Roles, however, i'd LOVE to see her as Oscar's dad in a BeruBara, or, if not in a dad/uncle role, as some sort of villain again in a show where she gets to show off her INCREDIBLE VOCAL RANGE. After re-reading this for review I totally remembered Phantom was a thing and my goodness would she be such a good Alain but she's tragically Too Tall (so give her Phillippe instead as she can also play soft really well or hell, give her Carlotta!).
If you can't tell, I really love and miss the MayuAasa bromance as that's what brought me into Mayuponism but I SWEAR I like Mayupon when she's not attached to Aasa I just. Love bromances.
