Zuka Advent 2020 Day 12: Sagiri Seina
Dec. 12th, 2020 10:27 pmI just realized this is the first OG i'm writing about here but i've seen a LOT of her lately (thanks Leigh) so she's fresh in my brain.
Day 12: Sagiri Seina
(yes I had to include Miyu because both Chigi and myself said musumeyaku rights in this house)
CHIGI!!! What isn't there to love about her. I've had the wonderful pleasure of seeing a solid chunk of her career lately because of the madman Saki project, and she's quickly become one of my all time favourites. She's incredibly talented and SUPER funny and also said musumeyaku rights! We stan.
What is your favourite role and why? Not to be too on the nose with the image choice, but I LOVE Lupin III with all my heart and that definitely has to be my favourite Chigi role. They're not "roles" per-say, but i've really taken a liking to the scenes she leads in revues. I forgot which one it was but she went full rock star and it was the dumbest wig I ever saw but she just went SO HARD I love it.
Special shoutouts also go out to her roles in Hoshiai (because that entire show RUINED me in all the best ways) and Sorrowful Cordoba, but i've also had the pleasure of seeing her as a baby in some roles (that I can't name off the top of my head right now) and she's always a fun face to find.
What is your favourite thing about them? CHIGI SAID MUSUMEYAKU RIGHTS AND I STAN SO HARD. Honestly, learning how she strived to make hank make Miyu her actual equal on the stage is so fuckin awesome and I really, REALLY hope that more top stars take after her example. I haven't seen much of them, but I hear Beni did the same with Airi and I love that so much. We stan musumeyaku rights in this house.
